Sobering and Inexcuseable- Americans Can be so Nauseating and Self Righteous

Do you remember a little storm three years ago named Katrina? The hurricane that single handedly took out New Orleans?

Recently I’ve read some rather sickening emails from around the US that compare the amount of money spent/wasted on gasoline to the concept of ‘a billion’ and then go on to state that a representative from New Orleans had asked the government for assistance that was in that same fiscal ballpark…the wise people who initiated the email then broke that money down in such a cute way saying things like for that money each child in New Orleans would get a million dollars or some sort of rubbish along those lines….then, of course they took the comparison a step further and started screaming about taxes in the US.

I WAS FURIOUS when I read that email. HOW DARE THEY use New Orleans as an ‘example’? In case you might have forgotten what happened….I drove around today and took some pictures of the lovely homes that our citizens (YES, they are OUR CITIZENS) are living in…THREE YEARS NOW FOLKS…this didn’t happen yesterday…people are STILL WAITING for money that was promised them, to help them rebuild….not a palace mind you, a simple single story home.

Here are some examples of what our lousy government is NOT doing while they spend/waste BILLIONS and BILLIONS of dollars in Iraq. This was some of the BEST …I got too sick to take pictures of the worst. HOPE it NEVER happens to you!

What can you do? Help Habitat for Humanity…they are making a big difference, and SUPPORT the people of New Orleans, any way that you can.

One more reason to not vote for McBush.
