Haiku Friday – Autumn

Leaves crunch, red yellow

Orange brown, they wispy fly

Autumn showstoppers.

I inhale the air

smell the apple cider scent

warm and cozy nights.

Dream a little dream

Pumpkin pies, Trick or Treat tries

My inner child smiles!

6 very short weeks to Specs and Cabanaland!

Oh, what gorgeous sense of nostalgia this poetry brings. I love especially the lines “Autumn showstoppers” and “I inhale the air”
You and I clearly share a fondness for this season!

    Fall in Flanders sucks.
I miss Pittsburgh and pumpkin rolls and Halloween and pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks and the kids in their costumes.

But winter isn’t deadly freezing, so you guys will make out pretty well over here.
