Haiku Friday

Oh Say Can You See

your American future?

Wlll it soon become

The Rocket’s red glare

The bombs bursting in the air

McCain’s hawkish view

of free that will bite

Bite us for our arrogance

or will it soon be

Green, resourceful pride

that common people wish for

daily in their thoughts

Changes by Barack

Think HARD, the choice is coming

Vote for YOUR future

75 days to Specs and Cabanaland

Great ‘ku. I think it’s great that so many people are talking politics, especially online. This election is definitely an interesting one.

Yes.. the topic on everyone’s mind!! It has been a frenzy of reading and speech watching. I wish I could be a fly on the wall in these candidates real lives for a day… that would be educational and help me make a decision!!

America rocks. I don’t like approximately half of what people here decide, but I love that we get to vote and have our say. Nicely haiku’d!

Very well put together haiku. I really like how you weaved the political ‘story’ into it.
    Happy HF.

    Good one mom.
I really am worried for all of you over there. And for myself as well.
Hopefully things will change this time around.

And if not, you know Jenn in Holland…ask her if she knows any good jobs for Americans over there in the Hague (I think that’s where they live).

Then I can visit you once a month instead of once a year!
