We are back and I am finally getting over the jetlag. I can tell you, the old grey mare, she ain’t what she used to be!
I probably don’t have to tell you that our trip was absolutely amazing. The flights over and back were good and the only tough time we had was a 4 hour delay in Philadelphia because of air traffic and bad weather on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We were supposed to arrive home around 7PM but didn’t actually walk in the door until after 1AM.
But, more of the trip later. We stayed in a WONDERFUL Bed and Breakfast right in the center of Gent. The name of the B&B is ‘Chambre Plus’ and the proprietor Mia was magnifique!
They have three theme-based rooms; Sultan Room, Congo Room and a separate little cottage to the rear of the main house that is like a luxury condo, Cote de Sur. Here are some pictures that show the room we stayed in, the Congo Room, as well as the rest of the facility.

The food was heavenly and there was always HOMEMADE breads and candy available. The facility was extremely comfortable and extraordinarily convenient. I can just about guarantee that we will stay at Chambre Plus the next time we visit Lilacspecs and Cabanaboy.
